Choose the weave by how much you want to be seen
Openness factor is the share of the fabric that is hole rather than thread. It decides how much you see out, how much glare gets through, and how private the room is.
Voile, 12–15% open
Barely there. You keep the view and the light. Little daytime privacy, none after dark.
Linen-look, 7–9% open
The Dubai default. Glare drops sharply, the view survives, passers-by see shapes not faces.
Textured slub, 4–6% open
For west-facing glass and low floors. Real daytime privacy, and it hides sun damage better.
Privacy sheer, 2–3% open
Close to a net. Nothing readable from outside in daylight, but the room reads dimmer.

Sheer curtains, fitted properly, in a city that punishes the alternative
Most people order sheers to soften a room. The reason that actually matters in Dubai is control: how much of a 45°C afternoon reaches your sofa, how much of your living room the tower opposite can see, and whether your blackout layer has anything to sit in front of.
Why the fitting decides the look
Sheer fabric is unforgiving. A track 10 mm out of level shows immediately, and a hem that is not weighted drifts every time the AC cycles. We measure the recess, the ceiling and the fixing points before anything is cut, and our own fitters hang and dress every panel.
Built for UAE windows
Floor-to-ceiling glass, 3 m and higher drops, deep balcony doors and ceiling recesses that hide the track entirely. We use 300 cm drop-width fabric so a tall window has no horizontal seam, and we heat-set wave sheers so the ripple survives the first wash.
Installation is in the price
The number includes fabric, track, stitching and fitting, with a 2-year warranty on all three. There is no separate installation charge, no minimum order, and no charge for the home visit whether or not you order.

Frequently asked questions
How much do sheer curtains cost in Dubai?
Width, drop, fullness and fabric family move the number, which is why the home visit ends with a written price rather than an estimate. A layered sheer and blackout set on a double track costs more than a single sheer layer.
What is the difference between sheer, net and voile curtains?
Voile is a specific lightweight fabric, net is a knitted open mesh, and sheer is the category both sit in. In practice the choice is not the name, it is the openness factor. A 12% open voile keeps your view. A 3% open privacy sheer hides the room in daylight but dims it. We bring both to the visit so you can hold them against your own window.
Will sheer curtains give me privacy at night?
No, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling. Sheers work on a light differential. In daylight the outside is brighter, so the fabric reads opaque from the street. After dark your lights reverse that. If a room needs night privacy it needs a second layer, which is why bedrooms almost always end up on a double track.
Do sheers help with the heat or just the glare?
Glare first, heat second. A standard sheer cuts the harsh direct light that makes a room unusable in the afternoon and slows the fading of sofas, rugs and wood. For a measurable difference to the AC load, use a solar screen sheer or pair a sheer with a thermal blackout layer.
Is the installation included?
Yes. Measurement, track, brackets, drilling, fitting and dressing all sit inside the price. Our own fitters do the work, they bring drop cloths, and they clean up the drilling before they leave. The 2-year warranty covers fabric, stitching and track.
How long does the whole thing take?
Measurement is usually next day. Once you approve the fabric and the quote, fitting happens within 48 hours. Motorised tracks and special-order fabrics take longer, and we tell you that at the visit rather than after you have paid.
I am renting. Can you fit sheers without damaging the walls?
Usually yes. If there is an existing track or a curtain box we work with it, which leaves no new holes at all. Where drilling is unavoidable we use the ceiling recess or the existing fixing points, and we confirm with you before we drill.
Can I put sheers in front of curtains I already own?
Yes. We supply and fit the sheer layer and the second track on its own, and we also fit curtains bought elsewhere. Send a photo of the existing setup on WhatsApp and we will tell you whether the current track can take a second rail.
How do I clean them?
Most of our voiles and linen blends wash at 30°C on a delicate cycle and go back on the track slightly damp, which drops the creases out. Embroidered, metallic and solar screen sheers are dry clean only. The care label goes on every panel we stitch.
